Long Weekend Fun

Today was spent in St. Pierre-Jolys for the "Frog Follies" Festival.

Just the hubby and I went as we were invited to attend the VIP wine and cheese event before the frog jumping competition. This is a rather strange tradition but sure was fun to watch.

Here is the hubby "prepping" his frog at the starting line

And here they are mid race

The weather was cooperative and the turn out was pretty good. Poor hubby and his froggy friend (his name was "mon petit ami") didn't win any medals this year so we headed home and hung out in the backyard.

The highlight was the setting up of the tent that hubby bought and he and the two littlest are camoping out tonight.

They were SO excited!! This made for a rather quiet evening for me (thus my blog update on the actual day I took the photos) and now, I am headed to bed.

Tomorrow ends the long weekend but we have yet to decide how we will spend the day. Folklorama? The park? The Forks? Shopping? We'll see what the weather is like, perhaps. Let's hope for some more sunshine!!

  3. Thanks Laurel!

Sweet: they had a great night but were still pretty tired in the morning. And I got the bed to myself so you gotta like that ;)
