I had the priviledge of welcoming another beautiful baby girl in the wee hours of the morning today.

What a gorgeous little girl...just moments old!!

The First Storm and a New Life

Who would have thought that I would be driving to the city in weather such as this for a client with an early October due date?



And no, she didn't go weeks over due. We just got a very early taste of winter this year. Phew...what a drive in!!

But, of course, it was SO worth it! It was such a joy to witness this new babes birth and to be able to support such a powerfully strong birthin' mother and her fantastic family!

Many babies cry when their hair is washed but not this little princess. Perhaps this is a sign of many future spa days in her future?

Welcome to the world, little one! There were many people anxiously awaiting your arrival (with money riding it as well!) you are very clearly blessed to be joining such a supportive, loving clan.

Another baby girl was welcomed into the world on October 1st.

It's a Girl!!

At the end of a lovely family day celebrating the little man's birthday, I got the call that my client was in labour. Yay!!

I was so blessed to work with this lovely couple. They were so beautifully connected to each other as she laboured, and it was such an honour to have been invited to be a part of this miraculous event.



I love this picture! Not because it is "technically perfect" (or even close) but to be able to capture a sense of that moment of birth...a sense of that feeling...that "OMG I did it!!!" feeling that accompanies that instant when you hold your baby for the first time...sigh... it is such a wonderful thing.

What a lovely ending to a fantastic day! Thanks for waiting until after the birthday cake was served to make your imminent arrival known little one! I am so glad that I was able to greet you as you entered the world.

Day 5 -- Blessings

Yesterday, Day 5 of the challenge, was spent at a labor and birth of a wonderful couple as they welcomed their first child into their family. What a blessing!
